The 18th Annual Western Kentucky Health Fair will be Thursday, October 23, from 8:30 am to 12:30 pm at the Joe Creason Community Center on the hill at H.H. Lovett Park in Benton. CASA by the Lakes will host the annual Fun Walk/Run and Chili Challenge on Saturday, October 25, at Kentucky Dam Village State Resort Park in Gilbertsville. The theme for this year is Cowboys V. Robots. Registration begins at 10:00 am at the Beach Parking Lot. The fee is $10 and $5 for children under 10. The run begins at 10:30 am with the chili challenge at noon. American Legion Post 144 will have a Fall Turkey Shoot on Saturday, October 25 starting at dusk. The shoot will take place at 2047 Ridge Road in Gilbertsville. There will be benefit concert for Martha's Vineyard in Paducah at the Spring Bayou Baptist Church at 11205 Woodville Road in Kevil on Saturday, November 15, at 6:00 pm. The concert will feature Higher Praise Quartet from Calvert City and The Moreheads from Bandana. Thy will accept non-perishable food items and monetary donations so Martha Vineyards can provide meals to families in need during Thanksgiving and Christmas.
