Murray State University's Animal Health Technology/Pre-Veterinary Club and the Calloway County Humane Society are hosting a Doggie Day Spa on Saturday, November 1, from 9:00 am to 2:00 pm at the Carman Animal Health Center on College Farm Road, across from Calloway County High School. Microchipping is $10, custom pet ID tags are $3. MSU pre-vet students will bathe a dog for $10, clean ears and trim nails for $8, or provide "the works" for $15. There will be benefit concert for Martha's Vineyard in Paducah at the Spring Bayou Baptist Church at 11205 Woodville Road in Kevil on Saturday, November 15, at 6:00 pm. The concert will feature Higher Praise Quartet from Calvert City and The Moreheads from Bandana. Thy will accept non-perishable food items and monetary donations so Martha Vineyards can provide meals to families in need during Thanksgiving and Christmas.

Marshall County Humane Society's 'Santa Paws' will be Saturday, November 22, from 10:00 am to 2:00 pm at the Joe Creason Community Building. There will be Christmas pictures, bake sale, food, face painting, children's crafts, pet adoption and much more. All proceeds benefit the Marshall County Humane Society.
